Strokes Beauty Lab Partners with Kababaihan PH to Provide Free Makeup Workshop for Women in Correctional Facility

In a powerful collaboration marking Women's Month, Strokes Beauty Lab joined forces with the Department of Justice and Kababaihan PH to conduct a transformative free makeup workshop at the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong on March 17, 2025.

The workshop was a carefully crafted initiative that brought professional makeup artists to share their expertise with participants. Strokes Beauty Lab's team provided comprehensive makeup training, offering insights into professional application techniques and fundamentals. Participants received makeup kits to support their learning and practice, creating a hands-on experience that went beyond traditional workshop expectations.

As part of #ProjectArtE, the workshop aligned with the Department of Justice's rehabilitation efforts. Undersecretary Margarita Gutierrez highlighted the importance of programs that provide Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) with practical skills and confidence-building opportunities.

The makeup workshop represented more than just beauty instruction. It was a carefully designed program aimed at supporting women's personal development, offering skills that could potentially open new career pathways and boost self-confidence during their rehabilitation journey.

Strokes Beauty Lab's commitment demonstrated the power of beauty as a tool for empowerment, showing how professional skills and creative expression can contribute to personal growth and societal reintegration.

The initiative reflects a broader mission of supporting women at all stages of their life journey, emphasizing dignity, potential, and the transformative power of skills and self-expression.
